In November, a mental health recovery training for women veterans was held at the PDMSh Educational, Training & Rehabilitation Center (ETRC).
Over the course of two days, eight participants worked with three professional psychologists using body-oriented therapy, art therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and biosuggestive therapy techniques.
The goal of the training was to help women veterans restore inner balance, reduce stress levels, regain a sense of grounding, and learn practical self-help techniques.
The program included:
- art therapy practices
- body-resource work
- sensory-oriented yoga
- life-balance models
- resource-building exercises
- a final integrative practice
We plan to continue this work in a short-term format and to launch long-term programs as well. Caring for mental health is an essential part of returning to life. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to this project. Special thanks to Nova Poshta and Pfizer Inc. — the launch of our Educational, Training & Rehabilitation Center became possible thanks to your support!
