In September, PDMSh provided assistance to nearly 1,500 wounded

In the first month of autumn 2024, Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital (PDMSh) medics treated 1,433 wounded individuals. Unlike August, when nearly 1,000 out of over 2,000 PDMSh patients sought help for non-injury-related health issues, September saw all cases related to injuries—primarily affecting Ukraine's defenders.

Over the 31 months of war since the full-scale invasion by Moscow, the total number of military and civilian patients treated by PDMSh has reached 42,379. Throughout the entire conflict, which has now lasted more than ten years, the volunteer hospital has provided medical care to nearly 100,000 patients.

The fighting continues, especially in northern Donetsk Oblast, where PDMSh teams are actively operating. Since the beginning of summer, there has been a concerning increase in the number of wounded treated by volunteer medics (see the chart below).

We urgently appeal to every medical professional: your help is needed now more than ever. We form new rotation teams every month, and every medic has the chance to make a difference in saving lives on the front lines. Your expertise is invaluable to our defenders. They are fighting for us, and we must fight for them by preserving their lives and health in these challenging conditions.

To join PDMSh, please fill out the form on our website or call our hotline at 0 800 33 49 03. We guarantee accommodation, meals, necessary resources, and a supportive team of like-minded individuals committed to our shared victory.

We also want to remind you about two critical fundraising campaigns currently underway: one for purchasing an armored medevac vehicle to protect our medics during evacuations, and another for essential resuscitation equipment.

Every hryvnia, dollar, or euro donated to PDMSh directly impacts the medical care provided to our defenders and civilian victims of Russian aggression. Don’t stand aside—together, we are stronger!
