PDMSh Revenues and Expenditures in August 2024

This summer was scorching hot in terms of weather and the situation on the front lines. Constant explosions, some very close, an endless flow of wounded, and the heat only made the conditions more difficult. PDMSh volunteers worked every day and often at night as well. The PDMSh support teams continued their active work to ensure uninterrupted operations on the front. As the month came to an end, it’s time for our traditional monthly report on income and expenses.

In August 2024, PDMSh's total income amounted to 1.8 million UAH, of which 98.3% was in UAH (1.77 million UAH) and 1.7% in foreign currency (31 thousand UAH). This is significantly less than July, when we received 2.59 million UAH. However, in August, 98.3% of the income was in UAH, whereas in July, foreign currency made up a significant portion (35.4%). This shift in funding structure indicates a decline in foreign currency support.

As for expenses, August turned out to be a less costly month: total expenses amounted to 3.55 million UAH, compared to 8.5 million UAH in July. The largest portion of August’s expenses, just like in July, went towards the construction of the PDMSh Training and Simulation Center, accounting for 57.2% of the total sum — 2.03 million UAH. We remind you that the center's construction is funded through a targeted donor grant.

On the other hand, vehicle repair and maintenance costs increased to 478 thousand UAH (13.5%), of which 199 thousand UAH went toward repairing our Humvee — a necessary preparation for the autumn-winter period. With autumn comes rain, which will worsen and erode the evacuation routes. That's why the Humvee repair was completed ahead of time, ensuring that our volunteers are ready for evacuations under any weather conditions.

Outsourcing and administrative costs in August amounted to 294 thousand UAH (8.3%).

The opening of a new frontline location led to increased expenses for maintaining deployment points: 285 thousand UAH (8.0%).

In August, 223 thousand UAH (6.3%) was spent on salaries, 150 thousand UAH (4.2%) on fuel, 87 thousand UAH (2.5%) on tax obligations and bank fees, and 4.4 thousand UAH (0.1%) on medical equipment and supplies. Additionally, internal reserves of 1.76 million UAH were used.

Therefore, in August, the main expenses were focused on infrastructure projects, vehicle repairs, and supporting operations at frontline locations.

We are deeply grateful to all our donors, benefactors, and ordinary people who continue to support PDMSh. Your contribution saves lives on the front lines! There is still a lot of work ahead, so let’s not stop!

⚡️Reminder: PDMSh is continuing to raise funds for an armored medical evacuation vehicle, which will ensure the protection of medics during evacuations, as well as for resuscitation equipment that will help medics provide better and more efficient care to the wounded on the front lines. Every contribution has a direct impact on saving the lives of our defenders and civilians. Thank you for your ongoing support!
