PDMSh Financial Report for July 2024

In July 2024, the total amount of funds received by Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital (PDMSh) was UAH 2.59 million, of which 64.6% were in Ukrainian hryvnias, and 35.4% were in foreign currencies. However, to cover all expenses for the month, including critically important projects, we had to use UAH 5.97 million from our reserves.

Expense Analysis:

  • Purchase of new vehicles: UAH 2.16 million (25.2%). This includes the final payment for a SHERP all-terrain vehicle, which is essential for ensuring the mobility of our medical teams in hard-to-reach areas. PDMSh extends sincere thanks to the donor who provided the funds for its purchase.
  • Repair and maintenance of the vehicle fleet: UAH 492,000 (5.7%). A malfunction in an ambulance during the evacuation of a wounded person can cost them their life. Therefore, ensuring the reliable operation of our vehicles is one of our top priorities.
  • Fuel expenses: UAH 150,000 (1.8%). We thank our partners who help us with fuel supplies. Without their support, this percentage would be significantly higher.
  • Salaries: UAH 494,000 (5.8%). Payments to staff who ensure the uninterrupted operation of PDMSh.
  • Taxes and commissions: UAH 252,000 (3.0%). Expenses related to tax obligations and bank commissions.
  • Outsourced administrative services: UAH 67,000 (0.8%).
  • Construction of the PDMSh training and rehabilitation center: UAH 3.62 million (42.4%) funded by a donor's targeted grant.
  • Digitalization of accounting: UAH 1.29 million (15.1%). Significant funds were invested in automating accounting processes, managing material and technical assets, and developing specialized software. This is one of the key projects we have been working on diligently, as it greatly improves our management of goods and materials, their accounting, and movement between locations.
  • Operational support for deployment points: UAH 22,000 (0.3%).

Total expenses for July amounted to UAH 8.5 million. It is important to note that during this period, the main financial resources were directed towards strategically important investments that will ensure the long-term efficiency and continuity of PDMSh operations.

It is also worth noting that this month there were no expenses for medical equipment and supplies. We owe this to our foreign donors who provided the WEINMANN equipment, the Zoll X Series monitor-defibrillator, the consumables for it, as well as five folding stretchers for patient transport.

Meanwhile, we continue to raise funds for the purchase of an armored medevac vehicle that will help protect our medics during evacuations, as well as for intensive care equipment.

Every hryvnia, every dollar, or euro invested in PDMSh’s activities has a direct impact on saving the lives of our defenders and civilians. Your support is our shared victory!

We sincerely thank our benefactors and encourage you to continue supporting our work! Every contribution is important and helps us save lives!
