Ukrainian National Guard Commander Receives Honorary Award from PDMSh

Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko, Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, was presented today with an honorary award from the Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital (PDMSh).

PDMSh President Gennadiy Druzenko signed the commendation on March 26, coinciding with Ukraine's National Guard Day celebrations. This recognition follows Pivnenko's own acknowledgment of the medical volunteers two weeks earlier on Ukrainian Volunteer Day (March 14), when he awarded Druzenko and two frontline medics with the medal “For NGG Collaboration”.

The reciprocal honors highlight the strategic partnership formalized in 2022 through a cooperation memorandum signed shortly after Russia's full-scale invasion. To date, PDMSh's volunteer medics have delivered care to over 2,700 National Guard personnel.
