January 2026: two key milestones — medical practice licensing and the 110,000th patient

In January 2026, the Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital named after Mykola Pirogov (PDMSh) reached two significant milestones in its development. We obtained a license to provide medical practice and assisted our 110,000th patient.

Obtaining the license marked the first major step in transforming a volunteer medical formation into the first private military medical company in Ukraine—and possibly in the world.

At the same time, PDMSh continued its uninterrupted work on the frontline. As of the end of January 2026, our teams had assisted 110,350 patients, nearly half of whom received medical care during the full-scale war.

Throughout this period, PDMSh’s mobile medical teams operated under constant challenges, providing medical assistance where it was critically needed. These results were made possible by the coordinated efforts of 942 volunteers.

The PDMSh team includes not only medical professionals, but also drivers, administrative and technical staff—everyone who ensures the uninterrupted and effective work of our medical teams.

Our work has received state recognition: PDMSh volunteers have been awarded 724 state honors and departmental distinctions. Over the years, PDMSh has provided medical assistance at 96 locations across the country.

At the same time, none of these results would have been possible without your support. Daily contributions from caring individuals, as well as the continued support of our donors and partners, are an essential part of our work.

PDMSh continues to fulfill its mission—saving lives and providing medical assistance to those who need it most. Please continue to support PDMSh. Every contribution saves lives.
