Ukrainian Volunteer Day from the PDMSh: how we celebrated it

March 14 marked the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer — a special day for the entire PDMSh community. A day for those who consciously chose the path of service and helping others. For those who step forward when they are needed most.

It was volunteers who stood at the very beginning of PDMSh. For many years now, our volunteer medics have been working where it is hardest: at stabilization points, on evacuation missions, and alongside the wounded. Saving lives — every single day.

This year, during the celebration, PDMSh volunteers received a number of state and departmental awards. In particular, on this very day, two of our volunteers were personally awarded the “For Saving a Life” medal by the President of Ukraine.

PDMSh volunteers were awarded the following honors:

  • Medal “For Saving a Life”
  • Presidential Award of Ukraine “For the Defense of Ukraine”
  • Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Award — Medal “Cross of Honor”
  • Award of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — Honorary Badge “For Support to the Armed Forces
  • Badge of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “Dignity and Courage” named after Yevhen Konovalets
  • Honorary Award of PDMSh

We sincerely congratulate everyone who received these awards and thank all our volunteers — both veterans and those who continue to serve on rotations today. These honors recognize your work, courage, and daily dedication to saving lives.

A special thank you to everyone who supports PDMSh. Donations, sharing information, and words of encouragement — all of this helps us continue our work where it is needed most.

Together, we save lives.
