How PDMSh Marked the Day of Defenders of Ukraine

On October 1, Ukraine celebrated the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. For us, this day holds a very special meaning.

The vast majority of our work is about saving the lives of our soldiers. Every day we witness the sacrifice, dedication, and heroism of Ukraine’s defenders. Every day we fight for the lives of those who give their all to protect our country. In September alone, we provided medical assistance to 333 wounded soldiers, and since the beginning of PDMSh’s work — to 108,913 patients. We continue our mission so that as many defenders as possible can return home alive.

On this day, we honored with a moment of silence all those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. We remember each of them — forever grateful.

That day, PDMSh volunteers also received a number of awards and distinctions, including:

  • The Honorary Distinction of PDMSh
  • A Letter of Appreciation from the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine
  • A Letter of Appreciation from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
  • The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine award — the Medal of Honor Cross
  • The Distinction of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, III degree
  • The Medal “For Saving a Life”

Don’t forget to support PDMSh. Every donation goes directly to saving lives on the front line. We receive no state funding — our work is made possible thanks to the generosity of caring individuals, organizations, and benefactors. Every contribution matters.

Support PDMSh — join us in saving lives on the front line.
