At the end of March, ARD 1, the main national TV channel of Germany’s consortium of public broadcasters, published a video report by its correspondent Susanne Pettersen, which, among other things, highlights the work of volunteer medics from the Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital (PDMSh) at a frontline stabilization point.
The video, titled “Ukraine: Doctors on the Front Line”, tells the story of the vital role medical personnel play at the front. PDMSh has become a lifeline for hundreds of wounded soldiers. Its doctors and medical staff work under the most challenging conditions, providing emergency care, stabilizing the wounded, and ensuring they can be transported to more specialized medical facilities.
The video also shares the personal stories of medics and orderlies, their dedication to saving lives despite constant danger and limited resources. They speak about the emotional toll of their work and the importance of their mission in preserving the lives of servicemen.
This report showcases the remarkable courage and professionalism of the medical personnel who continue to serve on the front lines amid a brutal war, saving lives and supporting the morale of Ukraine’s defenders.
